Managing stress needs a whole, new approach Stress is studied and understood at the physical level by modern medical systems as merely an imbalance of the neuro – endocrine systems and the neuro-transmitter.
However, equally important is the emotional imbalances in our Prana (the vital energy), which are manifested by extreme swings in emotion. The yogic way of management of stress is totally holistic, and is based on the traditional understanding of the concept of stress. It is not enough to work at the physical level to reduce stress. It’s mandatory to bring a balance to all the other levels. This constitutes a comprehensive approach.
